Charlotte I. Drawyer, 85, of Geneseo, formerly of Sheffield, died at 1:03 a.m. Sunday, March 14, 2010, at Woodridge Supported Living in Geneseo. Born Jan. 25, 1925, in Kewanee to Walter and Jessie (Brittingham) Pate, she married Elbert "Don" Drawyer Nov. 3, 1942, in St. Louis, Mo. He died Nov. 17, 2003. She was the owner and operator of Village Cafe in Sheffield and the Elms Supper Club in Sheffield. Surviving are four daughters, Sandra (Gerald) Van De Genachte of Princeton, Donna (John) Gingerich and Bonnie (Larry) Fansler, both of Bradford, and Sue (Don) Duncan-Larson of Geneseo; one son, Gary (Terri) Sliz-Drawyer of Geneseo; one brother, Charles Pate of Florida; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Dorothy, Verna and Buelah; and one brother, Harold Pate. Private graveside services will be held. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Kewanee. Memorials may be directed to the donor''s choice.
