Charles "Chuck" R. Pressel

Charles “Chuck” R. Pressel,78, of Princeton, IL passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at Allure of Mendota, IL.

Chuck was born on September 14, 1946 in Chicago, IL the son of Charles and Elizabeth (Thiry) Pressel. He worked for Serino Engineering Company in Franklin Park and then worked for Metro Amusements, Inc in Streator, IL. Chuck served in the United States Army as a Technical Sergeant during the Vietnam War Era from 1964-1967. He enjoyed drawing with charcoal, visiting state parks, playing the lotto and watching movies. Most of all he cherished his family.

Survivors include one close cousin, Sonny (Gale) Hart of Wyanet and their 3 children, Laurie (Sam) Hocking, his goddaughter Shelia (Jason) Hart-Weber and Robert (Nicki) Hart; one step-sister, Kathy Kelly and one step-brother, George Long; along with numerous cousins and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, William and one sister, Sarah.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at Grant-Johnson Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Doug Kirkpatrick, officiating. Burial of cremated remains will be held at a later date at St. Joseph Cemetery in River Grove, IL. Cremation Rites have been accorded.

A memorial has been established in Chuck’s memory.
