Charlene G. Catton

Charlene G. Catton, 79, of Wyanet died at 7:57 a.m. Sunday, July 1, 2018, at Liberty Village in Princeton. She was born July 22, 1938, in Wyanet, the daughter of Cecil and Mildred (Dunn) Catton. She graduated from Wyanet High School with the Class of 1956. She worked at Champion Pneumatic in Princeton for over 30 years. She was an avid John Wayne fan, loved to read and horses, and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Surviving are one son, Tim (Lori) Catton of Wyanet; three grandchildren, Kenneth Catton, Austin Catton and Kaitlyn Catton, all of Wyanet; two brothers, Robert (Linda) Catton of Wyanet and William Catton of Manlius; two sisters-in law, Betty Catton of Sheffield and Linda Catton of Wyanet and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Allie Marie Johnson and Carma Jean Robinson; and five brothers, Harold, Donald, Kenneth, Darrell and Fritz Catton. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, July 6, at the Grant-Johnson Funeral Home in Princeton. Services will follow at 6 p.m. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Wyanet at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the Wyanet Rescue Squad.
