Carole Joanne Jaggers

Carole Joanne Jaggers, 77, of Wyanet passed away at 7:45 p.m. Sunday, July 1, 2012, at her home in Wyanet. Born Dec. 2, 1934, in Wyanet to Justus D. and Esther P. (Scott) Blythe, she married Kenneth Joe Jaggers Sept. 26, 1953, in Wyanet. He survives. Surviving are her husband, Kenneth Joe Jaggers of Wyanet; one daughter, Sally (Ken) Wilcoxen of Princeton; three sons, Tony Jaggers of Oglesby, Terry (Wendy) Jaggers of Fairfax, Va., and Tracy Jaggers of Madison, Wis.; five grandchildren, Johnna and Lindsy Jacobson, and Tyler, Bailey and Michael Jaggers; and one great-grandson, Ethan Turpen. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Janella Jaggers; and three brothers, Ronald, Milton and Darwin Blythe. She was a 1952 graduate of Wyanet High School and a life-long resident of Wyanet. She was a member of the Wyanet United Methodist Church, Esther Circle, United Methodist Women and the Old Car Club in Wyanet. She enjoyed music, reading, walking and gardening, and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Forest Hill Cemetery, Wyanet, with the Rev. Katie Voigt officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Wyanet. Visitation will be from 5-7 Friday at Grant-Johnson Funeral Home in Princeton. Memorials may be directed to the family of Carole Joanne Jaggers for charitable disbursement.

It was a nice day and Joanne was feeling well enough to enjoy the outdoors. She was very proud of her family and well she should be. I will miss my neighbor of some 45 or so years.
