Brian M. Wright, 47, of Sheffield passed away at 12:50 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2017, at Aperion Care in Spring Valley after a long battle with cancer. He was born June 12, 1969, in Princeton, the son of Ron and Linda (Johnson) Wright. Surviving are his parents, Ron and Linda Wright of Sheffield; one brother, Scott (Amy) Wright of Sheffield; four nieces and nephews, Tanner, Isabelle, Samuel and Emily Wright; his maternal grandmother, Reta Johnson of Princeton; and two uncles, Gary (Jeanine) Wright and Chris Johnson. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Hollis and Delores Wright: his maternal grandfather, Cliff “Buzz” Johnson; and one aunt, Carol Sue Stone. He graduated from Western High School with the Class of 1988. He worked on the family farm. Brian was a member of St. Patrick''s Catholic Church. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and enjoyed country music, camping, and visiting with his family and friends. He also enjoyed vacationing with his southern relatives. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, March 6, at St. Patrick''s Catholic Church in Sheffield with Father Mark Miller officiating. Burial will be in Hopeland Cemetery in Buda. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 5, at the Grant-Johnson Funeral Home in Princeton. A rosary will be recited prior to visitation at 3:45 p.m. Brian''s family appreciated the care provided by the nurses and staff at the Aperion Care Nursing Home in Spring Valley. Memorials may be directed to St. Patrick''s Catholic Church or the Sheffield Rescue Unit.

Linda and Ron I was sadden to hear of Biran’s passing. I always remeber the smile he had whenever you saw him. Brian was a good soul and I am sure God has a special place for him. You have my deepest sympaty on your loss.
