Brett M. Sandberg, 34, of Princeton passed away at 10:18 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton. He was born March 6, 1979, in Princeton to Carl and Sharon (Norlin) Sandberg. He was a 1997 graduate of Princeton High School. He worked at Advanced Door Control Solutions in Princeton. Surviving are his mother, Sharon (Kevin) Knudsen of Princeton; two sisters, Jodi Westerhold of Princeton and Abby Sandberg of Princeton; one stepbrother, Adam Knudsen of Princeton; one stepsister, Angela Smith of Crystal Lake; one niece, Savannah Westerhold of Princeton; and a special friend, Lisa Hebb of Princeton. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Joseph Marion and Freida Sandberg; his maternal grandparents, Marion and LaVerne Norlin; his father, Carl Sandberg on July 22, 2001; and three aunts. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Grant-Johnson Funeral Home, Princeton, with Pastor Laura Tanner officiating. Burial will be in Elm Lawn Memorial Park, Princeton. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. A memorial fund is being established in his name. Memorials may also be directed to the donor''s choice.
Brett is one of the most intelligent guys I have ever known. Many times we would have conversations that were enlightening and very special to me. I will miss him dearly. What a treasure his friendship is to me. My deepest sympathy to all his family and to Lisa

I lost touch w Brett and we always picked right back.he had many struggles but it never changed how big his smile was and how great his soul.he listened well and argued a good point always! He even changed my mind and im hard headed.I shared man first moments w bretts..lotsof concerts!we shared a love for music!! Hes already missed.love u buddy.keep an eye on all of us! And to his family I send lots of love!
