Betty M. Miller, 96, of Neponset passed away at 1:50 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, 2017, at Colonial HealthCare and Rehabilitation Centre in Princeton. Born Nov. 1, 1921, in Bradford, the daughter of Burt and Blanche (Manning) Harris, she married Lyman Wilbur Pratt Feb. 3, 1938, in Iowa. He died Sept. 16, 1972. Then she married W. Wayne Miller Nov. 26, 1974, in Neponset. He died Jan. 18, 1999. Betty was a homemaker and also helped her husbands farm. She enjoyed sewing, working outside, decorating and cooking. Surviving are one daughter, Carolyn (Richard) Foes of Princeton; one son, Larry A. (Rose Marie) Pratt of Neponset; four grandchildren, Jeffrey (Janet) Foes of Alton, Mo., Adam (Jessica) Pratt of University City, Mo., Ben (Katie) Pratt of Ballwin, Mo., and Sarah (Chris) Pecoraro of Lena; eight great-grandchildren; six stepchildren, Beth Sommers, John Miller, Lois Boese, Carol Garond, Mary-Jane Stabler and Bob Miller, and their children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; four brothers; one sister; and two stepchildren, Eileen Gunning and Ron Miller. Private family graveside service will be held in Bunker Hill Cemetery in rural Buda. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Bunker Hill Cemetery Association or the Henry County Humane Society. The Grant-Johnson Funeral Home in Princeton is assisting the family.
