  1. So sorry to hear of Miss Nelson’s passing. She was my 4th grade teacher at Church School in Rockford, and was also my mom’s 4th grade teacher! When the school had it’s 100th anniversary celebration I was there with my family and got to see her again after all those years. Coincidence that my daughter was also in 4th grade at the time. My daughter and I had our picture taken with her. Our thoughts are with her family.

  2. Now 4th grade math will never be the same. Miss Nelson influenced us to be the best, and that’s what we became, including Tim Aures, Craig Kallenbach, Mick Loebach, Steve Raap, Gerald Shelton, and Brian Young. R.I.P.
