Bernadine "Helen" Lafferty

Bernadine “Helen” Lafferty, 90, of Princeton died at 1:25 p.m. Dec. 16, 2016, in Perry Memorial Hosptial, Princeton. She was born July 12, 1926, in Ohio, Ill., to Herman and Anna Bessie (Rasmussen) Kerber. She married Darl Paige Lafferty in Princeton on June 20, 1948. He died June 5, 1993. She had been a nurse''s aide. She is survived by three sons, Dennis Lafferty of Rock Island, Randy (Deb) Lafferty of Spring Valley and Shawn Lafferty of Little Rock, Ark; two daughters, Colleen Nilges of Columbia, Mo., and Sharon Johnson of Newport News, Va.; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband three brothers, Harvey, Art and Howard Kerber; and a sister, Darlene Dalziel. She was a 75-plus-year member of Royal Neighbors, past oracle of Rebekah Lodge, and sang in the Choir at First Christian Church, Princeton.
