Andrew Scott Bloome

Andrew “Andy” Scott Bloome, 59, of Wyanet passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at OSF Saint Clare in Princeton, IL. 

Andy was born on April 3, 1965 in Hinsdale the son of Dale and Joan (Cogswell) Bloome. He was a graduate of Downers Grove North High School. Andy married Judy Ann Kadera on October 29, 1986 in Wheaton, IL, and shared 36 years of their lives before she preceded him in death on July 1, 2022. He worked at Ace Distribution Center in Princeton as a Heavy Equipment Operator for 14 years until his passing. Andy loved exploring new places, always up for seeing where the road would take him, especially when there was good food involved. He enjoyed eating at any dive diner and trying new dishes. He was revered for his dedication, work ethic, and willingness to turn strangers into friends. He loved Chicago sports, a good debate, and most of all, he loved his wife and cherished the time spent with family and friends.

Andy is survived by his three children, Michael (Stacey Rhodes) Bloome of Wyanet, Lisa Bloome of Princeton and Samantha (Jacob Zahn) Komperda of Morris; two grandchildren, Danny Elmore of Blue Ash, Ohio and Heather Elmore of Princeton; five siblings, Terry (Linda) Bloome, Alan (Margie) Bloome, Penny (Brian) Kovarik, David Bloome and Kathy (Victor) Gagliano.

He was preceded in death by his wife Judy, daughter Jennifer Elmore (nee Hozian), his parents, and one brother, Tom Bloome.

A memorial gathering will be held beginning at 10:00am, followed by a prayer service at 11:30am on Friday, April 12, 2024 at Grant-Johnson Funeral Home in Princeton with Gaile Arnold officiating. Cremation Rites have been accorded. 

A memorial has been established.
