Agnes Mae Nitz Woodburn, 96, of Princeton, formerly of Geneseo, passed away at 1:15 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013, at her daughter''s home in Princeton. Born Jan. 9, 1917, in Port Byron to Victor and Romanie (Van de Velde) Van Landuit, she married Herman G. Nitz June 18, 1938, in Hillsdale. He died April 23, 1976. She then married Roger Woodburn in Geneseo. He died Jan. 25, 1993. She was a graduate of Hillsdale High School and a homemaker. She was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church in Princeton. Surviving are one daughter, Vicky (Ray) DeMay of Princeton; one son, Thomas (Terry) Nitz of Ocean Springs, Miss.; three stepsons, Robert (Peggy) Woodburn of Sparta, Wis., Bill (Linda) Woodburn of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Bruce (Judy) Woodburn of Rock Island; five grandchildren, Steve (Hermoine) Reece of Virginia Beach, Va., Shelley (Keith) Barnett of Buda, Kris (Steve Reinbeck) Johnson of Walnut, Kevin (Kelly) Nitz of Ocean Springs, Miss., and Kurt Nitz of Ocean Springs, Miss.; four great-grandchildren, Ashley Barnett of Rock Falls, Amanda (Thomas) Allison of Stantonville, Tenn., Matthew Johnson of Manlius and Ryan Johnson of Walnut; and two great-great-grandchildren, Chayce Allison of Stantonville, Tenn., and Caelyn Allison of Stantonville, Tenn. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her twin brother, Donald Van Landuit; two brothers, William and Fritz Van Landuit; and two sisters, Alice Rumler and Marguerite Laleman. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Louis Catholic Church, Princeton, with Father Jeffrey Stirniman officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded after the services. Inurnment will be at later date in Oakwood Cemetery in Geneseo. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Memorials may be directed to the family for distribution at later date.
