Agnes Ellen Dunn

Agnes Ellen Dunn, 89, of Tiskilwa, Illinois passed away at Henry Rehab and Nursing in Henry, IL on July 8, 2022.

Born October 27, 1932 in rural Buncombe, IL to Truman and Violet (Robertson) Merriman. She married Kenneth Dunn July 5, 1967 in Goreville, IL.

Survived by one son Ray (Jill) Carrington, one step-daughter, Cynthia Harty of California, one step-son, Randy Dunn of Texas; twin grandsons, Brad (Steph) Carrington and Brian (Jen) Carrington, granddaughter, Angie Carrington, Step-grandson, Dan (Tanja) Lacoste of Colorado and step-granddaughter, Liz (James) White of California and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth on February 2, 2012, her mother and father, one brother, Truman Jr., one daughter, one son, and one granddaughter.

Agnes was a life member of the American Legion Auxiliary and member of the Bureau County Fair, First Methodist Church of Princeton, Church Women United and Dorothy Guild United Methodist Women.

Worked at Elgin State Hospital, Carps and Hornsby Department Store. Studied for her Real Estate License at MidState College in Peoria.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Wyanet Fire Department, Tiskilwa Ambulance or the Bureau County Senior Center.

A visitation will be held from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 14, 2022 at Grant-Johnson Funeral Home, Princeton. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 14, 2022 following the visitation at the funeral home with Rev. Terry Lancaster officiating. Burial will take place in Elm Lawn Memorial Park, Princeton.

Pallbearers will be Brad, Brian, Angie, Jason, and Brandon Carrington, and John Sims.
