Millicent Ellis

Millicent "Millie" Ellis, of Princeton, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2024 at Liberty Village at 103 years old.

Millie was born on September 25, 1920, in Oglesby, to Peter and Kata (Kutlich) Kasap. She married William "Bill" Ellis on January 26, 1946 in the DePue Congregational Church, in DePue. He passed away on September  5, 1973.

Millie worked at Westclox for a number of years and was a Foster Grandmother at Douglas and Jefferson Schools in Princeton.

She is survived by her daughters: Susan (the late Harold) Reinke and Sally (James) Hahn, two grandsons, four great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bill, her parents, and three brothers Mike (Betty) Kasap, Stephen "Chippy" (Betty) Kasap, and George (Rosella) Kasap; two sisters: Mary (Alan) Dewey and Julie (Bob) Heusel, and son-in-law, Harold Reinke.

In honoring Millie's wishes, there will be no services. Burial will be private.
