Steven "Steve" Eugene Lange

Steven “Steve” Eugene Lange, 73, of Dover, IL passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2026 at OSF Saint Clare in Princeton, IL.

Steve was born on October 15, 1952 in Princeton, IL the son of Harold and Viola (Evermon) Lange. He married Marilyn L. Dall on June 6, 1974 at St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Princeton. She preceded him in death on December 4, 2024. Steve had various occupations through out his life-time working for the Grain Elevator, Bobby Class, Tom Krammer Construction and retiring from Plano Molding in Mendota.  He was a longtime member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church, the Red Covered Bridge Barber Shoppe Quartet and was active with the Lutheran Marriage Encounter. Steve’s passion was woodworking; making anything that was requested by either family or friends. He also enjoyed antique tractors, but most of all he loved his family and spending time with them.

Survivors include his two children, Peter Lange of Buda and Ann (Carlos) Buelvas of Dover; two grandchildren, Samantha and Gabriel Buelvas and cherished service canine, Scooby.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, March 6, 2026 at St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Princeton, IL with Deacon Michelle Francis, officiating. Cremation Rites have been accorded.
