Sandra S. Smith

Sandra S. Smith, 83, passed away on November 20, 2025 at 03:10 am. A loving wife, mother, grandmother went to be with our Lord. She will be sadly missed by loved ones and dear friends but our comfort is knowing that she is now happy, healthy, and whole as she is out of pain and suffering from her many illnesses throughout her life.

Sandra was born on January 12, 1942 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Marion Peterson.

She graduated from Walnut High School in 1960. She also graduated from Central Technical Institute. She married Nick Smith from Ohio, IL in 1962.

She worked as a secretary for several years but later worked as a Travel Consultant for 17 years at ACF Travel and Bureau Valley Travel in Princeton, IL.

Sandra is survived by her loving husband, Nick; her three children, Brenda (Kim Marlowe) Smith of Carbondale, IL, Amy (Michael) Schmidt of Bartonville, IL and Melissa Smith of Middleton, WI; four grandchildren, Alishia, Alex, Allison (Adam), and Austin; two great grandchildren, and three nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Peggy Underwood.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until time of memorial service at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at Grant-Johnson Funeral Home in Princeton, IL with Pastor Bill Shields officiating. Cremation Rites have been accorded.

Memorials may be directed to the family, Bureau County Senior Center, and First Lutheran Church in Princeton, IL.
