Patrick Alan Schaffer

Patrick Alan Schaffer, 69, of Mineral, IL passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at OSF St. Luke Medical Center in Kewanee, surrounded by his family.

Patrick was born on February 1, 1956 in Peoria, IL the son of J. Dale and Carol Anne (Cox) Schaffer. He worked for Boeckel Farms as a farm hand for many years prior to his retirement. Pat enjoyed fishing, traveling, mushroom hunting, gardening and enjoyed eating out. He had an unwavering faith in Jesus Christ his Savior.  Pat enjoyed conversing with others and was always willing to give a helping hand. His kindness was felt by many. He will be missed by all those who knew him.

He is survived by his mother, Carol Schaffer of Princeton; four siblings, Diane (Marcel) VandenBorre of Venice, FL, Stanley Schaffer of Wyanet, Debra Dufresne of Coarsegold, CA and Dale Anne (Joe) Zokal of Annawan; numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his significant other Denise White; her children Bethany, Brenda, Tyler and their children.

Pat was preceded in death by his father and sister-in-law, Terri Schaffer.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at Wyoming Cemetery in Wyoming, IL with Pastor Terry Lancaster officiating. Celebration of Life will be held at St. Dominic Parish Hall in Wyoming, IL, immediately following the graveside service. All are welcome to attend.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Shriners Children’s Hospital or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
