Miriam Lucile Rosene

Miriam “Mick” Lucile Rosene, 101, passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at Aperion Care in Princeton, IL.

Miriam was born on April 11, 1923 in Naperville, IL the daughter of Fred and Amanda (Bier) Pieper. She married Clyde Rosene on January 22, 1946 in Hubbard, Iowa. He preceded her in death on February 22, 2015. Miriam was a long-time member of Red Oak United Methodist Church in Walnut. She enjoyed volunteering at The Princeton Closet, traveling and birdwatching. Most of all Miriam cherished spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include one son, Cary (Beth) Rosene of Princeton; one daughter, Marcia Heuer of Oregon; five grandchildren, Colin (Dena) Schmidt, Chad (Vicki) Schmidt, Heather (Mark) Dzioba, Nathan (Mary) Rosene and Hannah (Brian) Taylor; 10 great-grandchildren, Elaine, Erin, Ryan, Ashley, Caleb, Micah, Naomi, Theodore, Silas and Benjamin; one great great-grandchild, Amadrya; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three siblings, Byron Pieper, Melvin Pieper and Phyllis Klemme.

Visitation will be from 9:30am until time of funeral service at 11:30am on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Red Oak United Methodist Church in Walnut with Rodney Wangelin, officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Red Oak Cemetery.

A memorial has been established in Miriam’s memory.
