Helyn Dayle Wright, 76, of Princeton, IL passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at her home surrounded by loved ones.
Helyn was born on November 27, 1948 in Spring Valley, IL the daughter of Neva (Wherry) and Howard Anderson. She married David Wright in April of 1964. They spent many good years together; however, they divorced in April of 1997, but remained friends until his passing on May 4, 2015.
She attended Tiskilwa High School. After which she worked for Walmart starting as a bookkeeper and retiring as an Assistant Manager after 23 years of service. Helyn loved crafts, baking and tending to her plants. She cherished her beloved cats, but most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends.
Helyn is survived by her three children, Mark (Holly) Wright of Wyanet, Matthew Wright of Morris and Dawn Mall of Princeton; seven grandchildren, Haley Whitlock, Ben Wright, Emily Falk, Ethan (Kendra) Wright, Alexis Mall, Keegan Mall and Gracie Mall; 10 great- grandchildren, Parker, Emmett, Luciano, Rowan, Rhett, Ollie, Collyns, Kaysen, Brigham and Halston.
She was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings, Jeanie Bland, Peggy Bates, Nancy Cassidy and Gary Anderson.
A memorial visitation will be held from 11:00 am until time of Memorial Service at 1:00 pm on Friday, July 25, 2025 at Grant-Johnson Funeral Home in Princeton with Gaile Arnold officiating. Burial of cremated remains will be at a later date in Mt. Bloom Cemetery in Tiskilwa. Cremation Rites have been accorded.
