Charities

Spike was my neighbor when we were kids. On any nice day, Spike with his blonde flattop and fenders haircut, my brother, myself and other neighborhood boys would meet at the elm tree in front of our house and plan our day. Football, baseball, bike riding, whatever. Spike had a Vroom sting ray bike he could pop wheelies on for quite a distance. This talent was not lost when he got a Honda 100 cc (I think) motorcycle where he would do wheelies for a block easily. One of my favorite memories is the go cart track his family had behind their machine shed. We’d be in church on a hot summer Sunday, church windows wide open, sweating bullets and the go carts would start up. Spike and his brother Herb would be tearing the track up while the rest of us, envious, would be listening to the fun they were having. I sure miss that. Spike you are a favorite childhood memory! God speed my friend!
