Brian Page Huffstodt

Brian Huffstodt, 71, of Princeton,  passed away on Friday, July 21, 2023 in Downers Grove, Illinois . He was born on January 19, 1952 in Princeton, Illinois to Ned R. and Doris L. (Peterson) Huffstodt.

Survivors are his two daughters, Christina (Tom) Burch & Michelle (Chris) Yelverton; seven grandkids, Keegan, Kinley, Bradley, Alexis, Calin, Kelsey, Tyler; two great-grandchildren, Braxton & Charlie; one sister, Beth (Craig) Pryor; two nephews, Brad Pryor & Curt Pryor; and one niece, Carrie Musick. He was preceded by his parents.

Brian was in the U.S. Army stationed in Germany for 7 years as a Veterinary Food Inspection Specialist. Following the Army, Brian returned to Illinois and started his insurance business. Brian worked diligently at his insurance business up until his death. He enjoyed spending time with family and grandkids. Brian would never miss any sporting events for his kids and grandkids. He would meet "the coffee guys" everyday at Becks or the Coffee Cup Family Restaurant. He was on the council of St. Matthews Lutheran Church, and a devoted church member. Brian was a man of many words, and definitely spoke his mind.

A visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at Grant-Johnson Funeral Home in Princeton, Illinois. A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 27, 2023 at Saint Matthews Lutheran Church in Princeton, Illinois. Graveside services and burial will be at Oakland Cemetery in Princeton, Illinois at a later date, with military rites accorded by the Princeton Veterans Group. Direct memorials to St. Matthews Lutheran Church.
