Charles Benjamin Storm, 76, was originally from Princeton, Il. but had been residing in Streator, IL. He passed away with family by his bedside at OSF St. Francis Hospital in Peoria, IL on Monday, May 18, 2026. Charles lost his battle to Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) and Bacterial Pneumonia and now has a new heavenly address with the Lord.

Charles was born on June 20, 1949, in Princeton, to Arthur Orville and Bessie Jean (Hawkins) Storm. He graduated from Princeton High School with the Class of 1968. Later, he attended Drake University College of Pharmacy in Des Moines, la., with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy In 1973. Charles was initiated into Beta Chi, Chapter of Kappa PSI Pharmaceutical Fraternity. He dedicated over 50 years to his career as a licensed pharmacist, serving not only the state of Illinois, but also Arizona and lowa.

Charles enjoyed playing cards with his siblings every Tuesday, especially the game of Estimation, which had been passed down from his brother, Geno. He looked forward to spending time with his siblings and his step-grandson, Jacob, as well as sharing a good meal with family.

Charles was an avid sports fan, and especially liked the Miami Dolphins, and the Kansas City Chiefs. He loved nature, animals of all kinds, and music, especially that of Elvis.

Charles is survived by eight siblings, Judy Charolette (Peter) Sorkalla of Germany, Frances Peterson of Princeton, Carolyn (Russell) Stinar of Malden, Robert “Bob”(Cindy) Storm of Princeton, Janice (Robert) Browning of Wichita, Ks, Nancy (Donald) Bell of Sheffield, Wesley(Sandy) Storm of Princeton, Mary Etta (JD) Dickenson of St. Francis, MN., and, step-grandson, Jacob B. Gibson of Peru, II, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, son Ryan William Storm; three siblings, Douglas Storm, Eugene “Geno” Storm, and Bonnie Cornelio and many family members that became angels way too soon.

A Celebration of Life will be held at New Hope Church of the Nazarene, 30 N. 6th St, Princeton, IL on June 6, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Fred Laughlin officiating at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to a charity of your choice.

The family would like to thank the first responders, the OSF Staff, and all those who helped, supported, and prayed for Charles.
