Carol Ann Knudsen

Carol Ann Knudsen, 78, of Princeton, IL passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at Liberty Village in Princeton with her loving family by her side.

Carol was born on August 25, 1946 in Chicago, IL to daughter of Donald and Vivian (Peterson) Johnson. In 1974 she married John Knudsen in Princeton. He preceded her in death on November 16, 1985. Carol bartended at various locations throughout Bureau County retiring from Robbie’s in Sheffield. She enjoyed fishing the Hennepin Canal, camping and spending time with her family. Carol lived with kindness, humor, and quiet strength. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and the reminder that the small moments often matter the most. Carol will be missed deeply and remembered always.

Survivors include her two children, Jodi (Ernie Roberts) Roggy of Buda and Robert Knudsen of Rolla, MO; nine grandchildren, Justin Roggy, Dusty Decker, Scott Roberts, Nick Roberts, Kayla Frese, Savanah Gann, Samantha Mathew, Brooke Reinbeck and Sadie Reinbeck; 13 great- grandchildren; one brother, Don Johnson of Ottawa; one sister, Rita Burbey of Madison, WI; along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Debbie Reinbeck, sister Sandie Brandt, grandson, Andrew Frese, and great-granddaughter, Valerie Frese.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Monday, August 4, 2025 at Grant-Johnson Funeral Home in Princeton. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, August 5, 2025at Grant-Johnson Funeral Home in Princeton with Deacon John Murphy officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Elm Lawn Memorial Park in Princeton. Luncheon to follow at the Princeton Moose Lodge.

Memorials may be direct to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to Carol’s family to help with final expenses.
