Roy E. Ehnle

Roy E. Ehnle, 97, of Bradford, passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at the Apostolic Christian Home, Eureka, Illinois where he had received excellent care. 

Roy was born April 2,1928 in Princeville, Illinois, the son of Louie and Julia (Merkle) Ehnle. He married Donna Price on February 12, 1950 in Kewanee. She preceded him in death. 

He is survived by three sons and one daughter, Gary (Carole) Ehnle of Buda, Karen (Bill) Ringger, Donn (Tracy) Ehnle, and John (Sara) Ehnle all of Bradford; 23 grandchildren, 69 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren, one sister Mary Kaisner of Livonia, MI and one sister-in-law Verla Ehnle of Princeville, IL He was preceded in death by one son Mark, infant daughter Linda, and infant great-grandson Jacob, two brothers, Robert Ehnle and Edward (Verla) Ehnle, one sister-in-law Jean Ehnle, one brother-in-law Hartzel (Mary) Kaisner, two step brothers, Louie and Carl Ehnle, and one step sister, Laura Stahl. 

Roy farmed in the Bradford area and enjoyed working with his bulldozer.

Roy was a member of the Apostolic Christian Faith of Camp Grove, Illinois, where his funeral will be held on Monday, April 28, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Church ministers will officiate. Burial will be in the Camp Grove Apostolic Christian Faith Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, April 27, 2025 at Grant-Johnson Funeral Home in Bradford, IL from 4-8:00 p.m., and at his church from 9-9:45 a.m. before funeral service. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Apostolic Christian Home, PO Box 128, Eureka, Illinois 61530. Grant-Johnson Funeral Homes are handling arrangements.
