Jean Ann DeGood

           Jean Ann DeGood, 76, of Princeton, passed away at home on January 1, 2023. Jean was born May 1st, 1946 in Princeton, Illinois to Harry and Mary (Friend) O'Bryant. She graduated from Buda Western High School with the Class 0f 1964. Jean married Larry Kinnett on July 5, 1964. They later divorced. She was the bakery manager at Eagle.

            Jean was a member of the Evangelical Covenant Church, in Princeton; former member of the Princeton Bowling Association; die hard Cubs fan; and loved NASCAR and the NHRA.  Her grandchildren Elijah and Hope, were the lights of her life.

            She is survived by 2 daughters: Diana Kinnett of Princeton, IL. and Amy (Ryan) Crouch of Princeton, IL.; 2 grandchildren: Elijah and Hope Crouch of Princeton, IL.; 1 sister, Mim (John) Mecum of Buda, IL.;  1 brother, Charles O'Bryant of Cincinnati, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.

            Jean was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Bob and Jerry.

            Memorial services will take place at 5 p.m. Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Grant-Johnson Funeral Home in Princeton, Illinois. Visitation will take place one hour prior to services.

             Reverend Derek Boggs will be officiating. Memorials may be directed to Gateway or Evangelical Covenant Youth Programs.
