Ernest L. Cook

Ernest Cook, 74, of Buda died at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2016, at his home. He was born March 18, 1942, in Beacon, N.Y., the son of Lester Ernest and Harriet Ann (Daniels) Cook. He married Mona Lorraine Walters Oct. 26, 1981, in Princeton. Survivors include his wife, Mona of Buda; three children, Sarah Cook of Buda, Ernie Cook Jr. of New York and Anna Mucci of New York; a granddaughter, Brooklynn Cade; a grandson, Trevin Cade, and several other grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Phyllis Cook; and one brother, William "Billy" Cook. He attended Beacon High School. He was a fireman with Beacon Fire Department and later retired from the village of Wyanet. He enjoyed camping and fishing with his family and loved his animals. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, at Grant- Johnson Funeral Home, Princeton. Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, at the funeral Home. Randy Cade will officiate. Burial be will be at a later date. Memorials may be made to Buda Rescue and Fire.
