Ressie Marie Copple, 91, of Buda, Illinois passed away Sunday, November 24, 2019 at Liberty Village, Princeton.
She was born January 22, 1928 in Henry County, Illinois the daughter of James Robert and Mary Jane (Charleton) Watson. Ressie married Elbert "Pete" Lee Copple in Kewanee, Illinois on April 5, 1947. He preceded her in death February 4, 1996.
Surviving is two daughters: Vickie (Wayne) Washkowiak of Peru, IL and Jill Marie (K.C.) Syring of Clarence, IA; 4 grandchildren: Michael Tumbleson of Kewanee, IL, Dawn "Shelley" Michelle (Tim) Schneid of Princeton, IL, Debra Jensen of Cedar Rapids, IA, and Glenn (Caitlin) Jensen of Iowa; 3 great-grandchildren: Alexander Tumbleson, Lee Jensen, and Jack Jensen; two sisters, Donna Carter and Linda Frantzen, and many nieces and nephews
Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 3 brothers: Jack, Don, and Carl Watson; 5 sisters: Virginia Schouske, Shirley Anderson, Mary Louise Johnson, Eula Lindsey, and Mary Lindbeck.
Ressie retired from Morris Foundation in Buda on December 30, 1998.
She was a former member of Buda United Methodist Church.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at Grant-Johnson Funeral Home, Princeton with Pastor Laura Root-Tanner officiating. Visitation will be from Noon - 1:00 pm prior to the service at Grant Johnson Funeral home, Princeton. Burial will take place at Hopeland Cemetery, Buda, Illinois.
