Eian Robert Sharkey, 17, of rural Bradford, Illinois passed away August 11, 2022 as a result of a vehicle accident.
He was born March 21, 2005 in Peoria, Illinois the son of Robert and Emily (Zwicker) Sharkey.
Eian is survived by his parents, Robert and Emily of rural Bradford; three siblings: William, Anita, and Steven Sharkey all of rural Bradford; his paternal grandmother, Joyce Sharkey of rural Bradford; maternal grandparents, Steve and Mary Anita Zwicker of rural Bradford; and many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, William Sharkey.
Eian was homeschooled and then attended Princeton Christian Academy for eighth grade. He attended Stark County High School, where he would have started his junior year.
He loved working with his dad and brothers on the family farm and spending time with his sister. Eian grew up playing Christian Center Baseball. He valued his friends and enjoyed hanging out with them. He was always kind and not judgmental. Eian's favorite place was in the woods and his favorite job was clearing timber. He had a knack for running equipment and tractors and enjoyed working on his car.
A visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at Bethany Baptist Church 7422 North Heinz Lane, Edwards, Illinois 61528. A funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at Bethany Baptist Church 7422 North Heinz Lane, Edwards, Illinois 61528 with Pastor Ritch Boerckel officiating. A private burial will take place in Bradford Cemetery, Bradford, Illinois.
