Mary Lou Wilner, 83

December 18, 1934 to January 20, 2018

Our Savior Jesus Christ has destroyed death and brought life and immortality to light through the Gospel. Let us remember with thanksgiving what God has done through His servant Mary Lou Wilner.

Mary Lou Wilner, 83, of Princeton, was given life by her creator and was born on December 18, 1934 in Norton Co., Kansas, the child of Edward and Louisa (Braun) Wegener. In January of 1935, she received the gift of Holy Baptism and became a child of God. On June 21, 1949 she publicly confessed her faith and was confirmed. She received the precious gift of the Lord’s life-giving body and blood. On December 27, 1952, she married Glen Wilner and they were blessed with the gift of children: Deb, Doug, and Kris. God blessed Mary Lou’s life with many special people as she served God in her vocations at home, in the church, as an aunt, as a school bus driver and semi-truck courier, and as a member of the Amvets Auxiliary. A lover of stories, she was an avid reader, enjoyed recalling tales from her years growing up on the farm in Kansas, and constantly kept in touch with her children, grandchildren, extended family, and dear friends by visits, letters, and phone calls. Finally, on January 20, 2018 God called Mary Lou to her heavenly home to rest in the arms of Jesus and await the resurrection of the dead. The Lord gives and the Lord takes away; blessed be the name of the Lord.

Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents, step-mother Minnie Wegener, and five siblings. She is survived by her children Debra (Ben) Rock, Douglas Wilner, and Kristy (Paul) Munson, grandchildren Nathan O’Bryan, Nicole (Daryl) Anderson, Danielle Eaton, Matthew Dobbs, Kathryn Munson, and Kyle Munson, five great-grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, many nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
