Gladys Elaine Holsclaw, 92

July 22, 1924 to March 4, 2017

Gladys Elaine Holsclaw, 92, of Buda passed away at 12:30 a.m. Saturday, March 4, 2017, at home in rural Buda.

Born July 22, 1924, in Buda to Earl and Hazel (Sanfleben) Ballard, she married Lester Gale Holsclaw Nov. 2, 1942, in Kahoka, MO. He died Sept. 9, 1999.

She was a graduate of Walnut Grove High School. She was a homemaker and farmerís wife.

Surviving are two grandchildren, Rick (Angie) Hamilton of Buda and James Earl Hamilton of Kewanee; eight great-grandchildren, Kara (Lance) Carder of Kewanee, Arica Wiley of Buda, Zack Hamilton of Buda, Nick Hamilton of Pekin, Allisha Carpenter of Streator, Ashley (Sean) Engel of Ottawa, Pam Hamilton of Indiana and Douglas Hamliton Jr. of Ottawa; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter, Pamela Sue Hamilton; and one grandson, Douglas Paul Hamilton Sr.

Service/Memorial Information

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 11, at Floral Hill Cemetery in Neponset. Burial will follow in the cemetery. There will be no visitation.

Pallbearers will be Rick Hamilton, Nick Hamilton, Zack Hamilton and Douglas Hamilton Jr.
Memorials may be directed to the Buda Rescue Squad.
